Red Dog the best opening weekend for an Australian film this year

We shared the news a couple of weeks ago about AFTRS alumnus Kriv Stenders’ (Cinematography 1989) latest project Red Dog – which was then about to screen in cinemas across Australia -and this week we are delighted to read the great reviews and positive box office takings for the feature. As reported in newspapers yesterday Red Dog has taken more than $3.9m to date and saw the second week increase on its first.  We also have heard that there has been spontaneous applause in some cinemas at the end of the film… nice one Kriv!

Fantastic blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely confused .. Any ideas? Kudos!
